We are excited to welcome this new piece of architecture along Holmes Road in Martin City. If you aren’t sure what we’re talking about, it’s the brand new Winter Digs air dome that just went up at Volleyball Beach.
The dome is a whopping 320 feet x 120 feet, and 40 feet high. There are only three sand volleyball operations under air domes in the country (Volleyball Beach is the largest), and guess what? The new Volleyball Beach air dome is actually the largest air dome (for any reason) in Kansas City. That’s great news for Martin City because we know that is going to bring more people to our growing community.
On February 21st, Volleyball Beach officially celebrated their new air dome with an open house party, where more than 500 players, potential players, and supporters came out to put their feet in the sand inside the dome. Howard Barewin, the owner of Volleyball Beach, left this heartfelt message on their Facebook page the day after the event was over:
One thing we know for sure is that we have some incredibly dedicated business owners here in Martin City. We are also grateful, Howard, for all your efforts in bringing this project to life, and for all it will bring to the Martin City community. Can’t wait until next winter! In the meantime, Spring 2015 Leagues are just around the corner, starting March 29! For information and registration, visit Volleyball Beach.
