This darling little Gilded Lily house was built in 1905 and in 2017, it was acquired by Kansas native and longtime antique connoisseur, Debra Lucke Beachner, who turned the home into a boutique store called the Gilded Lily.
The Gilded Lily has unique items strategically placed around the home’s kitchen, sunroom, closets, stairwells, in the bathroom, and in the front bedroom on the second floor. There are also four additional merchants in the home who carry unique collections of gifts, furniture, clothing, accessories, and home decor. History of the Gilded Lily House
The land at 612 E. 135th Street is one of the original lots owned by E.L. Martin, founder of the town of Tilden. By the late 1880s, the town was rebranded as Martin City and the land was up for the taking. In 1945, Ralph and Evelyn Hopkins purchased the home for $7,000. Hear from Katie Hopkins, whose parents bought the house in the mid 40’s and lived there until 2003. She said the house has been hit by two tornados!
