Have you ever wanted to enjoy a beer from the Martin City Brewing Company in a can? Well, guess what?! You will soon be able to do just that once the company finishes installing their NEW line of canned beer! This exciting new growth means there will no longer be space for events amongst the barrels, mashers, and fermenters in the company’s current on-site microbrewery.

So where are all the parties going?

Martin City Brewing Company has completely renovated the building on the corner of 135th and Holmes Road into a downtown style event space.

Perfect for wedding receptions or corporate events, the newly renovated spacious main hall allows 190 guests to dance the night away while listening to music piped in through a professional concert level sound system, all while drinking Martin City’s best local brews straight from the tap.

How it all started…

Martin City Brewing Company originally opened as a brewpub in June 2011 at 500 East 135th Street. The pub is housed in the heart of town and has become one of Martin City’s busiest restaurants.

In January 2014, just a few years after the brewpub opened, the new Pizza + Taproom, along with an on-site microbrewery, opened its doors right beside the original brewpub. The microbrewery has a 15 barrel brewing system with fermentation capacity of up to 60 barrels. Distribution officially began in November 2014.

“I know we’ll eventually outgrow this space,” said co-owner and founder, Matt Moore. “But, that’s something we’ll deal with when the times comes.”

Well…. it looks like that time came sooner than later! The Brewing Company hosted their first event in the new event space just before the New Year, and they’ve already been booking parties for the 2016 wedding season. Plans to turn the basement into a full-service catering kitchen is slated for spring 2016, along with a massive outdoor beer garden so parties may be extended outside in style.

While there is still plenty of work to be done, the Brewing Company’s vision continues to help grow Martin City’s economy. Thank you to all the customers who have supported Martin City Brewing Company’s growth, and continue to come back for more!
