Every spring, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce hosts a Small Business Celebration, which is recognized as one of the largest Chamber small business celebrations in the United States. The 29th Annual Small Business Celebration is a series of events that supports and celebrates the small business community within the Kansas City region, and culminates in the selection of the Mr. K Award. Infinite Energy, along with more than 60 other candidates, are competing for the coveted Mr. K Award title, named for Kansas City’s own Ewing Kauffman, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
The Mr. K award is based on business growth or sustainability, exemplary employee relations and a commitment to community service. One of the Top 10 candidates will take home the Mr. K Award and be honored as the 2015 Small Business of the Year.
On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce will conclude the Small Business Celebration with the Small Business Awards Luncheon at which time the Chamber will announce the Mr. K Award, Diversity Business Award, Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and Legacy of Kansas City Award winners.
