The Pronghorn Group, an American Indian owned company, is a new general contractor focused primarily on general construction for the federal government where contract opportunities exist for American Indian owned businesses. The group has leased office space at 13354 Holmes Road in the Holmes Road Business Complex.
“This is a new exciting business venture for us,” say co-owners Mike Bamburg and Jordan Wilson. The name represents Bamburg’s upbringing in the great northwest, and in honor of his dad, who was a forest ranger.
Pronghorn has only been in business since January 12th, 2015 but both owners come with many years of experience in the world of government construction contracts. Bamburg has been a successful business man for decades and has always had a passion for construction and working with the government. Wilson, a graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO, with a degree in Political Science and emphasis in Economics and Business Management, provides the skills necessary to manage multiple contracts and projects in multiple locations with varying contract requirements. Wilson also has several years of hands-on construction work experience.
Pronghorn Group’s owners say they chose to locate in Martin City because of it’s central affordable location close to both of their homes, both sides of the state line, and has easy highway access to the entire South Metro area.
Pronghorn Group has one additional employee in the Martin City office location in addition to the owners, and a vast network of highly qualified subcontractors in all trades. Pronghorn, as a general contractor, will specialize in general government and commercial contracting with an unlimited scope, where diversity will be its model.
