A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the businesses in Martin City at our first “3rd Thursday” on the Tracks event on September 17th! The Martin City Business and Community Association worked together with the Martin City CID staff in planning this special evening of wine and beer tastings, appetizers, shopping, live music, games and prizes.
Attendees followed signs at designated businesses where they could have their “train ticket” stamped. All tickets collected at the end of the evening that had been stamped at key restaurants and shops were entered to win a huge gift basket full of Martin City products from all the local businesses.
Attendees were also given an “Experience Martin City” tasting glass and a special bag, full of information and treats from local Martin City businesses. Several places along the tracks had beer and wine, and others had food and treats, all coming from Martin City restaurants.
Several businesses who participated were not close to the tracks so another big thanks goes out to Rob Sight Ford for providing a shuttle car to take people to and from those locations!
The goal of “3rd Thursdays” in Martin City is to support our local Martin City businesses from 5:30pm-8pm, on the third Thursday of each month. We certainly learned a LOT from this first event and hope you will come out on October 15th, 2015 to help us make our next 3rd Thursday On The Tracks event even better!
