Back to Business Fund Assistance Available Through July 31, 2025.
While property crime levels in the Martin City neighborhood remain steady, crime targeting businesses in other parts of the Kansas City area has become a growing problem. As a result, the Kansas City Council has set aside money to help business owners across the city pay for repairs resulting from crime, and crime prevention measures.
Your business does not need to be a victim of vandalism or other property crime to qualify for assistance. Prevention grants are available to help cover the costs of investing in effective tools to better protect your business, including:
• Security cameras (equipment only, not monitoring services)- no less than 30 days for video recovery.
• Alarm systems
• Scissor gates
• Overhead doors
• Security lighting
• Locks
