George’s Imports is not a typical automobile service center. The Schaffner family has been servicing and repairing European vehicles for over five decades and they are the only Factory Authorized Saab Service Center for warranty and service in Kansas City.
It was 1956 when George Schaffner opened an auto repair center in a Quonset hut. A year later, his eight-year-old son Brad was honing cylinders in his father’s garage. By the mid-’60s, Brad, his brother Terry, and their father George had become experts in European automobiles.
From vintage Citroen’s to modern Mercedes, this family-run business has been servicing all of them for over 62 years. Brad’s nephew Terry, Jr. now works in the business and Schaffner’s wife runs the parts department.
Their crew uses top diagnostic tools and bring a level of skill only years of experience can provide. The most comforting thing about having your vehicle serviced at George’s Imports is they know your car so well, they can prevent a problem from developing in the first place!
