CHARM
Starting October 2nd, Charm will be open every Thursday from 10am to 8pm! (ONE day per week) They were previously only open three days per month starting on the 3rd Thursday of each month but now you can stop by every Thursday to find new treasures! October items will continue to have a fall/Halloween theme and all the Christmas décor will be rolled out on November 6th. They also plan to participate in small business Saturday after Thanksgiving on November 29th.

MARTIN CITY PIZZA & TAP ROOM
A new fire pit is being installed on the patio and should be ready to fire up on October 8th.

JESS & JIM’S STEAKHOUSE
Jess & Jim’s has been remodeling the front of their building so they can add outdoor patio dining! They have also changed the windows along the front of the building and freshened up the bar with new paint and wood work. They are also seeking customers’ opinions on whether or not they should repaint the front of the restaurant. You can give them your opinion on their Facebook page!

VOLLEYBALL BEACH
Construction begins in October on the new heated winter dome. It should be installed and ready for winter leagues to begin on January 4th, 2015. Here’s more info and photos

GRADE A TREE
Grade A Tree Care has officially moved into their new space in the heart of Martin City, just across the street from Margaritas at 13404 Holmes Road. Their official ribbon cutting with the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is at 4pm Friday, October 3rd and members from the Martin City business community are encouraged to attend!
