It is that time again for the Public Improvement Advisory Committee (PIAC) to hold its annual hearings for City grants for public improvements. The primary function of the Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) is to solicit resident input and make recommendations regarding both the citywide and neighborhood portions of the capital budget.
These funds combined with funds from Martin City CID and Jackson County were used to design and construct Phase 1 of 135th Street public improvements and will be used later this year to construct Phase 2 of 135th Street public improvements. Martin City CID will be submitting an application to request funds for Phase 3 of 135th Street. Phase 3 includes the construction for the last portion of improvements from Wornall Road to Hwy 150.
The 6th District PIAC hearings are being held on June 17th at Hillcrest Community Center, 1040 Hillcrest Road and June 29th at Country Club Congregational Church located at 205 W. 65th Street. The hearings start at 6:00 pm. Deadline for submission of either an in-district or Citywide PIAC request is due to the PIAC office on August 31, 2015.
