The first day of school is fast approaching! Can you believe August 13th is the first full day of school at Martin City K-8 School?
For 6th Grade students, August 12th is “Transition Day” where they will attend for a half day to receive their schedule, find their locker, and follow their schedule. For all students of Martin City K-8 School, many other activities are being held on August 12th too! On August 12th from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, the School will be hosting a “Twas the Night Before School” event for the elementary students. Parents and students are invited to come to school and find out what class they are in, drop off their school supplies, and become familiar with the school.
For parents of Kindergarten students, the first day of school can be very exciting – and cause anxiety at the same time! Martin City K-8 School invites parents of Kindergarten students to join them for the Kindergarten Corral from 5:15 pm – 6:00 pm where parents can meet the teachers, drop off their school supplies, learn about the kindergarten program, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the program.
In addition to the first week of school activities, the following events will be held later in August:
The Middle School Open House will be held on August 20th at 6:00 pm. Middle School parents are invited to meet the staff and administration and follow their child’s daily schedule by going class to class and hear a brief introduction by the teachers.
Elementary Curriculum Night is August 27th at 6:30. Elementary Parents are invited to the building to meet the staff and administration and hear a brief introduction by their child’s teacher.
