Summer is almost over! Can you believe August 14th is the first full day of school at Martin City K-8 School? For 6th Grade students, August 13th is “Transition Day” where they will attend for a half day to receive their schedule, find their locker, and follow their schedule. For all students of Martin City K-8 School, many other activities are being held on August 13th too!
On August 13th from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm the School will be hosting a “Meet and Treat” event. Students and parents are invited to come to school and find out what class they are in, drop off their school supplies, and enjoy some ice cream.
For parents of Kindergarten students, the first day of school can be very exciting and cause anxiety at the same time! Martin City K-8 School invites parents of Kindergarten students to join them at the Kindergarten Corral at 5:15 – 6:00 where parents can meet the teachers, drop off their school supplies, learn about the kindergarten program, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the program.
In addition to the first week of school activities, the following events will be held later in August:
The Middle School Open House will be held on August 21st at 6:00 pm. Middle School parents invited to meet the staff and administration and follow their child’s daily schedule by going class to class and hear a brief introduction by the teachers. On August 23rd – The PTA will host a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s. Elementary Curriculum Night is August 26th at 6:30. Elementary Parents are invited to the building to meet the staff and administration and hear a brief introduction by their child’s teacher.
