Martin City may be famous for its restaurants but did you know there are also plenty of fun recreational activities in town that you and your kids can get involved in? Here are a few of our favorites:
Beach Volleyball
With 16 sand volleyball courts and an awesome deck, bar & grill, you don’t even have to play Volleyball to enjoy all the fun at Volleyball Beach! More than 700 teams are signed up to play in their summer leagues, with fall and winter leagues just around the corner. This year, Volleyball Beach will open up courts for the first time during winter – under a weatherproof dome of course! Registration for winter leagues begins July 15th.

Eagles Gymnastics is Kansas City’s premier center for Gymnastics, Tumbling, Birthday Parties, Camps, Open Gym and MORE! Eagles want all kids to enjoy gymnastics – those that want to compete and those that just want to do it for fun! Recreational programs for boys and girls ages 12 months to 17 years are designed for MAXIMUM FUN! They use monthly themes with great music, games and fun props to keep the kids excited and interested! Mac ‘n Seitz Baseball Training Center
Mac-N-Seitz is one of the premier baseball and softball training facilities in the country. Founded in 1996 by former major leaguers Mike Macfarlane and Kevin Seitzer who provide Kansas City with a high-caliber, professional baseball school using their 25+ years of major league experience. The instructors at Mac-n-Seitz are experienced players who have undergone intense training with Mike and Kevin. They not only know baseball and softball but also really love to teach and train kids. “We are very proud of the organization we have established here in Kansas City. Yoga
Bikram Yoga South KC offers 90-minute classes that take you through a series of 26 yoga postures and two breathing exercises. Each pose is a challenge based on one’s own individual abilities. The postures are done in the safe environment of a heated room under the guidance of a Bikram certified teacher. By the end of a class session, each individual will have worked every muscle, tendon, joint, ligament, internal organ, and gland. Here’s more information
