In mid February, the Martin City Community Improvement District Board held a City appreciation breakfast at RC’s Restaurant to thank City officials for their efforts in completing Phase 1 of 135th Street public improvements, and for their continued work to fund Phase 2.
City Manager Troy Schulte, our 6th District Council Representatives and City Staff were in attendance, not only to enjoy the fantastic breakfast buffet and homemade biscuits RC’s is famous for, but to hear concerns from Martin City business leaders and discuss future collaboration opportunities that would enhance both Martin City and Kanas City.
The Executive Director of the MCCID, presented compelling photos of where Martin City has been and where we see ourselves in the future. We were excited to be able to show City staff the real impact of these improvements and how many Martin City businesses are positively affected by them.
Thank you to all the City officials and Martin City business owners who came out to support our Martin City community. We have had so much growth over the past year and we are excited to have the City of Kansas City, Missouri supporting our efforts to continue improving Martin City!
